Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can you play the songs that are important to us?
One of our mantras is: “It’s not about us. It’s about you and your special day!” We make every effort to help you plan and then execute your vision for your event. After booking, clients receive access to an online planner that allows them to create song requests and communicate the special aspects of their event to us.
2. Do you plan to use lighting or any other special effects?
Most of our packages come with the standard lighting set up. However, if you are interested in adding some additional magic with lighting upgrades you can check out some options here.
3. What do you typically wear?
We typically wear a suit or blazer to formal events such as a wedding. If we’re at a party we’ll dress in urban professional or casual. We always strive to dress appropriately for each event. If there’s a concern that we may be over or underdressed let us know and we will plan accordingly.
4. How many hours are included?
Each package comes with a specific time frame. You can add additional time on top of your desired package if you would like to. Your time begins when we start playing music. We don’t charge for set up time.
5. Who will do the setup?
Either your assigned DJ or another member of our staff will typically arrive 45- 120 minutes early to set up.
7. How do you handle song requests?
We take the time to plan your event out with you beforehand. We’ll talk about what type of music you like and if you’re cool with us taking requests from the crowd. If someone requests a song that fits within the style that you planned for then we will do our best to fit it in!
8. How many weddings do you typically do in a year?
On average, our staff has provided services for 40- 50 weddings in previous years.
9. What's your sick day policy?
We take our commitments very seriously. Your trust in booking Good Times means the world to us. Therefore, we make every effort to be at your event. In the rare occurrence of a personal emergency, we ensure that another member of our staff is available to fill in.
10. What's your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non refundable. If you cancel between 7 days and 1days prior to the event we charge a fee equal to 25% of the amount for services that were agreed upon.
11. How do you motivate a shy crowd to dance?
We strive to play popular songs that motivate people to dance while actively interacting with those that are on the dance floor.
